Electronically Controlled Segmented “Matrix” High Beam
All adaptive functions of this headlamp, including the segmented glare-free high beam are realized by electronically commanded reflectors, equipped with individually addressable LED-chips. This “Matrix” consists of three reflectors equipped with 12 individually addressable LED-chips per headlamp. Each of the two centrally located reflectors use a five-chip LED. The inboard located reflector unit is powered by two single LEDs. One of them cares for the side illumination. The additional spot, the other the side illumination.
The low beam is created by an 18 Watt projection module “e-Light 2.0” equipped with 11 LEDs. The attractive and sporty signature is accomplished by complex, linear light guides with 7 LED chips.
The turn signal of this high end version of the headlamp uses a complex, triple-branched light guide is illuminated by 1+2+6 LEDs switched in a progressive way.
